Job Summary

Rotex Global LLC is currently seeking a full-time Cost Accountant for our Cincinnati location. This position will be responsible for providing accurate, meaningful, and timely reporting on gross margins for Rotex product lines, customers, departments, and geographies. The position performs specific accounting and manufacturing functions consisting of inventory and manufacturing order maintenance and analysis, labor hour maintenance, and month end close, and manufacturing variance responsibilities. The output of this position will be used by the management personnel and other interested parties to make decisions regarding pricing, cost controls, production management, and other critical areas of the business.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the standard cost system for Rotex operations including annual standard roll, update of cost centers and labor codes, and calculation of variable and fixed overhead application rates
  • Perform routine reviews of BOMs and routers for financial accuracy and report to financial and manufacturing management regarding items that require adjustment
  • Review standard versus actual costs by cost category for purchased and manufactured items, report to management manufacturing variance
  • Prepare monthly margin reporting for senior management.
  • Manage Fixed asset system for Rotex US and Rotex Europe locations
  • Coordinate and partner with operations team to manage physical inventory count process
  • Investigate, identify and make recommendations regarding obsolete and slow moving inventory
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education/Job Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in cost accounting.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office required.
  • Preferred skills: Database Software, Microsoft Dynamics GP
